Requirements as to form

The requirements in respect of documents as specified in the Rules are set out below:
 Documents must be in English or Hindi
 Documents must be neatly handwritten or typewritten or printed upon strong paper of good quality and of size of approximately 33 cm X 20 cm. and shall have on the left hand part thereof a margin of not less than 4 cm.
 Contents of the documents must be on one side of the paper in a deep permanent ink.
 The contents of the documents must be in large and legible characters.
 The signature of the persons signing a document and the date of signature must be placed immediately at the end of the document.
 The name of the person signing a document must be legibly written in English or Hindi in capital letters beside the signature of that person.
 An alteration made in a document before it is filed at the Trade Marks Registry should be initialed in the margin by the person signing the document.

Requirements as to content
